This introduction to data visualization methods in QGIS with UC Davis Library’s GIS Data Curator, Michele Tobias, will give participants a solid foundation in cartographic principles related to displaying different types of geospatial data. The workshop is Wednesday, January 31st, 2018, from 10:00-12:00 in the DSI Classroom (360 Shields Library).
This workshop assumes participants have a basic knowledge of GIS concepts, but not necessarily experience with QGIS specifically.
How to prepare:
- Register
- Participants should bring their own laptop with QGIS 2.14 or 2.18 installed.
#maptimeDavis is brought to you by the UC Davis Library’s Data Management Program & the UC Davis Center for Spatial Sciences with help from several campus clubs and informal learning groups. Space is generously provided by the Data Science Initiative (DSI). More info: http://www.data.ucdavis.edu
