About: Learn about the geospatial research on the UC Davis campus and beyond!
The community will present a variety of research is short (5 minute)
presentations.  No experience is necessary.  This is an excellent
opportunity to learn about the breadth of geospatial research and
network!  You can present your research by filling out this interest
form here or come to listen to the talks.

Some of the topics we will cover are: Napa’s watersheds, mapping chronic absences in schools, low altitude air photo systems, detecting spider mites in strawberry fields, temperature variability in the Central Valley as it relates to pests in nut trees, land-use scenarios for bioenergy crops, and a research call for collaborators from Selous Reserve in Tanzania.  Join in!  Last year several speakers ended up finding like-minded colleagues to discuss projects with. See you there!

How to prepare:

    1. Register for Event.
    2. Get ready to learn (or tell others about your research!).

#maptimeDavis is brought to you by the UC Davis Library’s Data Management Program & the UC Davis Center for Spatial Sciences with help from several campus clubs and informal learning groups.  Space is generously provided by the Data Science Initiative (DSI).
