About: #maptimeDavis OpenStreetMap (OSM) Humanitarian Mapathon will support disaster planning and relief by creating data needed for humanitarian efforts such as identifying roads and communities in satellite imagery. We’ll start with an introduction to OpenStreetMap editing for all levels of experience. Using the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Task Editor, then we’ll pick a few tasks to work on as a group.
In previous Mapathons, we contributed data to Crowd2Map to provide road and building data to help rescue workers find women in need of intervention before their communities commit Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Anyone can contribute and you can make a difference! Interested? Please stop by at anytime with your laptop!
