About: Learn all about different types of data collection while in the field! Anywhere you go, you can be a sensor and collect all sorts of useful geographic data. Learn about user activity logging using Fulcrum, replace paper forms with KOBO Toolbox, explore maps and data using QField, and learn to use compasses, rangefinders, and more. About: In this workshop, we’ll practice field calculations – inserting values into vector data attribute tables – as a way to learn Python for GIS. You’ll leave knowing enough of Python to put it into use after the workshop, know where to go to learn more, and apply it more broadly in GIS.

About: Challenge yourself to creating a data visualization in this #maptimeDavis session! Use your geospatial skills to create a map. Work alone or in a small group. You’ll be given several data sets to choose from, choose 2 or more, make a map for 1 hour, then share your progress with the group.
